Sandman

An old man sits upon a creaky chair
in a box full of sand
The box says "for free"
workers pass by the box
at dawn
at dusk
nobody wants the old man
but he's just fine
he prefers the car water
than the callused scarred hands
of a caretaker.

To The Basement

We virgins dance across plains

unable to find comfort in the sun.
Sing quietly of true ships,
inside ourselves

jewels melt the daylight

Across sky clouds we virgins sing.

Never Had a Chance

I left a dove on your doorstep
and hoped it was enough
that you would caress it
every feather of ivory
not left untouched.
I left a dove by a slaughter house.

Golden Scarabs

orbs of tears

fall from the sun

butterflies pulsate
as she dips her rays

as all the leaves point
as all the birds gasp

you want them to leave
this private affair

held on the street.

O' Biology

dictate through the cell
air breaks down
degrade each pathway
each eye catalyzes reactions
mutants differed from the mold
pathways produce all essential ingredients
minor revisions of hair began
constructed by its own

What is a Rose?

Must I compare you to just one flower?
You have so many to choose from.

Across

Stars explode in my eyes

They stream across my face

rolling down
like tears

and then

evaporate
I see these stars
These stars that dance for me

Dance for you.
